I have not flown much compared to many people in this forum, but I am at 1.3M DL actual miles and about another 1.6M on other airlines lifetime. So, to say this was the best flight in my life has *SOME* experience behind it!

Two of the FAs on today's flight were "fresh out". For one FA, it was on his first flight. The other had been on the job for a couple of months. Whatever DL is doing with the new receruits - IT IS WORKING! The service was EXCELLENT but it was also actually FUN TO FLY today. The onBoard Leader - Michael - was also by far the best onBoard leader that I have ever interacted with on a flight including Singapore FC and BA FC. I believe that Michael was a key part of the chemistry that made this crew the best that I have ever experienced.

After ~100k actual miles this year and dismal experiences across the board on most airlines, it was very refreshing to experience this kind of service. I have forgotton how FUN it can be to fly! "THANK YOU" to the crew of DL148 today for the great service and the great experience and thanks for showing me that, even in these troubled economic times, that it can indeed be "FUN TO FLY"!

FYI - I am also sending this to DL on my last piece of DL Million Miler Stationary.

I was on this flight as well... based on the attention given by the FAs, I'm guessing you were in 1A or 1B? You can repond via PM if you'd like.

Unfortunately I was asleep for the majority of this flight, so I must have missed the highlights that you experienced. All I noticed was the FAs charging someone in first for an EATS box and a rather lengthy wait to get a beverage once I did awaken. Then again, had I been awake, I would have been able to engage the FAs in a bit of conversation, which usually results in a massive upswing in the level of service.
