Congrats on the forthcoming marriage. I have just come back from honeymoon where I flew SQ Biz which involved 24hr layovers in SIN each way.

Had you thought about travelling into SIN? I know your arrival is late, but there are some very fine hotels in downtown. We stayed at the Orchard which was very good. Also, taxis into downtown are so cheap as not to really be worried about. Plus, once you are downtown, you will be well located to have a look around.

We had 17HK for every flight LHR/SIN/SYD and back - thoroughly recommended. Didn't want the exit seats as they only seem to get one window. Service on all flights was good, and on some excellent. I phoned SQ in London to advise that it was our honeymoon, and on the LHR/SIN the crew were out of this world ( even better IMHO as we were slightly concerned with Singapore being fairly conservative, and us being a same-sex couple). We had great fun, and they presented us with a "Happy Honeymoon" cake, complete with dry ice and champagne. Very special.

As for BTC, we had selected it for each flight. Other than the seafood thermidor which I thought was pretty poor, everything else was good. I thought the steak was very nice. There is plenty of information available to view on BTC in the sticky's.
