Do you book and just turn up, or do you ever get in contact to make sure RA has been noted and appropriate upgrade has been processed ?
IMHO there shouldn't be any need to contact the hotel in advance to let the hotel know what one is entitled to. I rather stay somewhere else (typically at the Grand Hyatt) where I don't have to put up a fight.
