Is the printer near the wireless router? If so, you may be able to get a wired printer to network gadget rather than wireless. Might be easier to set up, cheaper, etc. A quick Amazon check looks like the wired ones are slightly cheaper and get better reviews, but they all seem to be mediocre so maybe someone will check in here with a specific recommendation. (I haven't used any of these products.)

If you don't already have a laser printer, this little one from Brother is just 120 bucks, has WiFi built in and works just fine: http://www.amazon.com/Brother-HL-217...835729&sr=8-10 I *do* have one of those at home now, but it's only been around about a month, and I have it plugged in with a cable. (I was trying to get the earlier non-wireless version on closeout, but I didn't act fast enough.) Seems to be just perfect, although it's best if you have little desire to print in color of course. IMO, color printing is not too necessary for general home use. If you want to print photos, you get better, cheaper results by outsourcing that to the usual photo printing sources. But your patterns may be different, dunno. Just offer this up as another possibility.
