Don't know about Texas, but, most campuses you can hardly walk past the student union without being attacked by a Citibank solicitor or folks working for other card companies.

The downside of student credit cards (beer for everybody!) is such that several states have banned on campus solicitation and there is some motion towards this in Washington.
