What I've seen is that even if the ticket is bought with the card, online or kiosk BPs commonly don't show Zone 2, but if reprinted by an agent they do. You can show the credit card at boarding and they are supposed to allow you with Zone 2--which means that you then wouldn't have to purchase the ticket with that card to get the boarding benefit. Can't tell you about the seat selection part myself...
