This seems to have been discontinued, or perhaps it is only if you are flying on QF that day. Last month I was refused the free day pass despite having FL access (but was flying AA and not QF); told it was for AC members only now. Some staff might provide it as an informal benefit, esp. as there might be a riot by QF pax.
