I recall a lot of customer complaints about MAD when it opened. It took a long time to settle and the min conx times had to be increased dramatically so that pax and bags had any hope of connectlng. Our MAD staff were on the phone daily asking us to hold pax at LHR as they would not make connections due to the problems. I am sure that El Daily Mailo or whatever the Spanish equivalent is slagged MAD, IB etc etc off as well, but it has settled down very nicely now and has a good reputation.
