Some positive comments about BA food and CW generally

I just flew LHR-SYD-LHR in J. The highlight of the menu was in the BKK F lounge, where they have delicious hot and cold canapes beautifully presented and maintained by exceptionally well manered staff. Bursting with lemongrass, ginger, lime type flavours. Definitely worth skipping the pre-landing on-board refreshment for. A far superior experience to the T4 F lounge, with its surly staff and microwave risotto.

Also before landing at LHR, I chose the Asian chicken curry rather than the English-style breakfast options. It was pretty good too. I think the trick with airline food is to go for the most flavourfilled options as one's tastebuds are dulled up there.

The service on the return was spot on. Friendly and helpful. Addressed by name. Regular through the night runs (without stomping) to check if those pax watching movies on the fault-free AVOD wanted tea, drinks, snacks etc. I left my jacket in the side bin in BKK against instruction to take all belongings with me during transit and on reboarding the new FA asked if it was mine and said he had kept it rather than giving it to groundstaff as required by regs, because he thought I was a thru pax.

It was this sequence of flights that made me realise that what others have said is true. Seated in 62K, with a good crew, CW is far better value than F, where the warm fuzzy feeling and the moderately more comfortable bed make for a better experience, but not THAT much better.
