Update To My Original Posting - Wn Delivers!
Here's an update - got a VM on my cell this AM from WN telling me to call re: my ATA tickts (travel date 4/21). My wife called back and after being on hold for about 15 minutes (reasonable) got through and within about 45 minutes we were re-booked. We got the same travel day going to HI and an overnight flight the same night as originally planned going home. So WN covered two paid tickets and two RR tickets - all booked originally on the WN web site.
The person at WN working with my wife on the phone was DETERMINED to try to save our vacation - really worked hard trying multiple airports/airlines to find a combination that worked. VERY IMPRESSIVE. I know lots of people did not have an outcome like this and I certainly feel sorry for them. But given all the circumstances involved, and the limited seats available because Aloha tanked a couple weeks ago, I think WN deserves LOTS of credit for their attitude and actions. Thanks WN - I'll remember that you took care of us! ^
BTW, what's the best way to get some praise to the right people at WN regarding the agent that helped my wife? Would really like to make sure she's recognized.
