AA clearly didn't intend to break these laws based on how quickly they brought their promotion into compliance after the issue was raised, whether by me or their own legal department. But it was suggested here that requiring a purchase might be OK in the print media or on the net, which is flat wrong, and IS akin to running a private numbers game, since the same laws are applicable. They prohibit anyone except states from running lotteries.
