Yeah.. I just saw the "buy miles" discussion in the new FAQ. I'm trying to earn miles like crazy as me, my GF and my parents are planning a Mexico trip for Xmas 09 in F or J.

I have the AMEX and have 32k miles. My GF will be made to take the AMEX at some point and my parents are taking out the AMEX too.. but none of these guys fly much, so mileage earning is down to partners, CC and offers. Plus, my little brother is a minor so we can't grab him a host of easy miles.

Sorry, that's a long rambling way of saying that I'll probably buy the max allowance of miles this year anyway.
