Hi, the bag on STP is the previous generation of the same bag, the design is almost identical (slight differences in the handles).
I looked at the current gen in a local shop and since it looked almost identical to the STP one I thought I'd give the latter a go (I could always return it if it wasn't suitable). B&R is rarely discounted much and I also found a 20% discount code for STP so ended up getting it for about 50% off retail and the bag is great. If you're concerned that it's a copy, or a fake - it's not.
I have no connection to STP or B&R, but I do travel a lot of international miles with only a carry-on and laptop bag so I'm always searching for the perfect bag. Plus, I do like a bargain
I think you'd be wasting your money paying twice as much as you need to, but it's not my money!
FWIW, I have 6 pieces of B&R (sourced from various places) and they are all made in China, as is my Tumi.
