Have to agree with this logic. I am a Gold but am on my way this year to Diamond status. I agree that SOME lounges are crowded (just back from NY Hilton--wow!), but many are not (Flushing, at Laguardia seemed to have no one else in it my whole stay). In any case, if the breakfast amenity remained, the hotel would pay more to accomodate folks downstairs. Perhaps, full breakfast downstairs for Diamonds? Separate lounge seating areas (semi-private) for Diamonds?
