Are you just looking to move some miles to reach a specific award level? If so, check out the AA forum: there are a few ways to earn a lot of AA miles straight-up without having to burn the UA miles. 10,000 for 2 months of AT&T Worldnet, another few thousand for AT&T long distance, 8 to 10K for the AA Mastercard, national park donations, donate a carload of Special K to a local food bank, etc.
