As both a parent and a frequent flyer with NCH, I can tell you from experience (AA 133, 13 Mar, 37C) that NCH doesn't do any good when the screaming toddler is 1 row behind you - and that's without talking about the kid kicking your seat.
I took a 21-month old kid JFK-TLV, and the first time she kicked the seat in front I told her to stop. The next time she did it I told her loudly to stop, and that if she didn't stop I'd take away a toy. It worked -- but more than that, it made the people in front of her realize that I was (a) aware of the issue, and (b) trying to remedy it.
Too many parents with out-of-control toddlers don't seem to act as if they care about how the other pax feel.
