Many years ago, it was 1990, I was going to send a package to India in a manner so that it wouldn't take too long. Courier service to DEL was rather expensive in those days as volume to India wasn't that high in those days. I went to the local post office and asked how much the express service cost and how long it would take for the package to get there. The postal clerk responded we will get it to India in three days, but beyond that, it would depend on how many elephants they use to deliver the mail.
