After my post, I got all 8 faxes for flights, actually out through May, not March. Flew my first two times as an A-lister, but had the family along with me. They are not on the A-list so had to board with them, not at my assigned number of #21 in both directions. Did on-line check-in 24 hours before the flight (old habits die hard and needed to since family was not A-list).

Certainly could never have had 3 seats together in the front half of the plane on TED or Frontier.

Wife didn't particularly enjoy the wait from the time the announcement was made for those with A boarding passes to line up at the poles until the time that we actually boarded. Gate agents did seem to be taking their time getting the pre-boards on board. Wife pointed out that with assigned seats we wouldn't have to stand there, which is difficult with a 5-year-old. Still, sitting in the front half of the plane trumps this, in my opinion.

I used the "quick post" feature on both of my flights, which gets the task of checking to be sure my flight posted off my "to do" a little faster. Wish I could do it the day after the flight, but 2 days after isn't bad.

In a couple of weeks, I'll be flying alone and that will be my first true A-list experience. I'm looking forward to it.
