Not sure if this helps but if your company purchase economy plus tickets then you get lounge access included. There is a lounge at Inverness and Manchester but not at Newcastle, but it does say that you can use there Partners lounge at Newcastle( whoever that might be)

Might price up a few E+ tix to get me the 20 pts quicker, but if not I can live without for the first few trips until it comes through.

Bad news about MAN and PP, lookslike I will be out in the general area there then. I'll try and time it to have the minimum gap at the airport in that case.

Flymaybe, but at £120 vs. £298 for Eastern, I'll give them a shot. I'm also travelling the night before and back on a Friday evening so it might intrude into my own time but shouldn't cause me any work problems.
Thanks to all for your insights, looks like a 3 mobile broadband card and a quiet corner of T3 is the answer for me then.... And after the first 10 returns, I'll buy myself lounge access for 20 pts.
