As you are already an elite member, Diamond with Hilton HHonors, we realize your potential patronage of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is great. As a result, we have upgraded you to the Starwood Preferred Guest Platinum Preferred Level. This is a one time only exception. In order to retain your Platinum Level membership for next year, you will need to have a minimum of twenty five eligible stays or fifty eligible room nights. This number is based upon a calendar year basis, January 1 through December 31

It looks like I have about eight months to get this done. I thought the match was supposed to last until the next calendar year but it's all good.
