I probably don't have time now to shop around for a carrier and it probably costs a bundle.

I remember about a year ago I was thinking about doing this from PHL to TXL and it was either UPS or one of the carriers said that the German customs needed a complete list of EVERY item--clothes, place of manufacture, cost, etc., for the customs declaration and it would cost me additional to have the hotel charge my credit card to pay the customs duty even though these were my own personal items and there was nothing to declare, etc. I finally said to the carrier, SCREW IT. It wasn't worth shipping it. I'm retired and there is no employer paying the freight.
