Interesting point of view.

You mention location for the RC but not for the Cirigan or the 4S/B. Both in my opinion have worse locations than the RC. I agree that the setting on the Bosphorus is amazing. One should also consider Les Ottomans, Asya and Sumahan hotels which in my opinion offer a more unique experience.

4S/S is 5 mns walk to the old town however at night one is stranded with little going on. Great for a first time visit, boring thereafer however the service is excellent.

W just opened, located half way between the Cirigan and RC. Strange area but the rooms I saw yesterday look nice, noise from the street is the big question. Look forward to Mecabq's report

Park Hyatt is also due to open very soon in a great part of the city, close to the RC.

As in any town no location is ideal but the RC and the Hyatt probably offer the best solution being in the middle of town rather than at an edge!
