I don't think this is new. ATL-TUS-ATL last summer in F had no meal service. I don't think that the Arizona routes are high yield routes. Other carriers might offer meals in F, if it is that important you might want to reconsider using DL for PHX. I was on an upgrade both flights, so I didn't really mind the lack of a meal.
PHX route always had food. When you've been fed for several years, you come to expect it. TUS route on the other hand never had food service in First.

Come on, people. It's not like they're serving anything gourmet. I'll gladly pay and expense the food for snacks for purchase program.
Before you diss the food, when was last time you had the new improved celeb chef meal? It's not too bad.
