Peninsula Bangkok . Rates now in Thailand Baht.
Just thought I'd share with you guys. As of April 1st, 2008 The Peninsula Bangkok, which has been using the US dollar for reservations until for many years has now switched over to the Baht. Unfortunatly due to the weak US dollar, the rates for the hotel are now considerably more expensive per person.
The lowest room rate (promotional) is now 9,000 Baht ($283 USD per person). This is in the low season.
A grand deluxe room is now 9,700 Baht ($310 USD)
A deluxe suite is now 17,200 Baht ($550 USD)
These rates are for two people NOT including breakfast.

Balcony Room B10,800.00++ > 46 sq.m located 10 – 33rd floors, with outside balcony, river and city view.
Deluxe Suite B17,800.00++ > 76 sq.m located 4 – 9th floors, separate living & bed room, river & city view.
Grand Deluxe Suite B18,800.00++ > 76 sqm, located 10 – 33rd floors, separate living & bedroom, river & city view.
The above rates are inclusive of;
Daily buffet breakfast for 2 persons per room in our restaurants.
Welcome fruit and flowers with daily local newspaper.
Complimentary internet access in room & wireless access at pool area.

Complimentary Peninsula boat transfer between the hotel and Sky Train Station.
Terms and conditions
All of the above rates are subject to a 10% Service charge and 7% government taxes per room per night for single/double occupancy.
All rates and room types are subject to availability at time of booking. Valid from 1st April – 30th September 2008.
Although this hotel is still a good value for one of the best 5* in the world, it seems like the rates are slowly creeping up, ecspecially for those of us in the United States
