No, the ANA Mileage Club is worthless to me now because I have 20,000 miles left, of which 17,000 will be used for a trip that won't earn miles. And now that I'm aware of these hiked fees, any ANA trip I take in the future (which probably isn't likely) will be redirected into my Mileage Plus account. As much as I like ANA as an airline, it's become highly uncompetitive at the moment. As far as I know, it doesn't cost $200 to redeem miles on other airlines that fly in the area. Flights within Asia are generally too short to use as upgrades, and it takes too long to accumulate miles for upgrades to destinations far away.

I'm holding out hope that their system is just not running correctly at the moment. When I try to book that ¥20,000 flight, when it reverts to US dollars it wants to charge me $535.
