I hate to say it, but I think you are correct when you say your options are pretty bleak.

If I had that kind of layover, I would probably hop onto the shuttle for the Clarion Airport Hotel which is on the airport property.

Have something to eat. Sit out by the pool. Hope that the time goes by quickly!
