The cleaners I use told me to ask for individually wrapped clothes, ie one shirt per plastic bag, and leave them in there in the garmet bags. I guess the slickness of the bags helps to prevent the clothes from bunching up. I've tried it and it seems to work in the garment bag I got with my luggage case.
