There is one other possibility that occurred to me -- Continental allows 5000 mile transfers into the Amtrak FF (?) program, which you can redeem at 3000 miles OW anywhere in the NE corridor, which is a pretty good deal, don't you think? Maybe I'll give that a try, but I wonder if you need to make sure about availability before jumping in?
