Some notes
Here are a few quick reviews from another guy who gets to visit the stink-hole parts of our lovely state:

HIX Blythe: Subpar franchise, compared to your typical HIX. Old and just off the highway. That said, it's still heads and tails above any of the other hotels in Blythe.

HIX Indio: Not bad. Kind of old.

HI Ontario Airport: Outstanding. One of my favorite HIs. This HI opened just a month or so ago, and I've been there twice already. Rooms are clean, new, and spacious. Hotel's restaurant is cool; I dig the flat panel TVs for each booth.
