The ANA Mileage Club is absolutely worthless to me now.

I tried booking HND to HKG and now there is a surcharge of about 20,000 Yen. What's even more baffling is how the fare switches to $535 USD when going onto the next page. I think their new system needs its kinks ironed out.

What a disgrace. To go from a $40 charge to a $200 is unacceptable, especially when they advertise an overall mileage requirement deduction on April 1. Of course their efforts will get people to wait until April 1 and after to book, only for us to be slammed with these new fees. What's worse is that I actually tried to book in the last days of March, only to be unallowed due to their system maintenance.

I'm done with ANA as far as international flights go. I'll probably book the HKG trip and pay 20,000 Yen, but after that I won't bother with them for anything else but a domestic flight, and even then I'll probably show preference for JAL or the Shinkansen.
