Marriott Las Colinas - No Water
I am currently staying at the Marriott in Las Colinas. I have been very satisfied to date with the level of service at the hotel, until last night. I returned to my room to find I had a voicemail message around 6pm. I call down and spoke to someone at the front desk. She informed me that my room would be without water for 1-2 hours. 3 hours later the water was back on, however there was no hot water. I again called down to the front desk who informed me that yes, there is no hot water. Hot water would return in 30 minutes. I asked why this information wasn't originally disclosed but really got no clear answer. The original estimate of 1-2 hours turned into 3.5 hours of no water/no hot water.
This morning I received a letter under my door apologizing for the inconvenience and offering 1,000 MR points or free breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. 1,000 points seems a little low for this level of inconvenience. How do you put a point value on inconveniences? Any data points or advice? If this is not an acceptable amount how do I go about requesting more?
