Just out of curiosity, on what basis to you base your claim that the check-in/desk staff with whom most people might deal, or the Lounge Staff (who have worked in other Terminals for year actually lied (ie deliberately gave falsehood that they knew was untrue).

Pucci. I certainly feel I was lied to by the CS staff at T5 who told me that it was not possible from their system to tell me where my bag was, JNB or LHR. It is and eventually they agreed, when I got them to speak to their colleague in the Arrivals Lounge. I can only imagine that it was too much trouble for them to find out so they told me the easiest thing, knowing that it was untrue.
