Never did a pre flight overnight at LHR, always have connected in on the morning of my flight, so this will be a voyage into the unknown for me.
Is the “Hoppa” the best way to go ?? Or is that really dependant on which hotel ??
I’m currently looking at the Marriott, but wonder if the T4 Hilton would be better, as at least I’d be on airport property.
But then how does one get from T4 to T5 ???

Most FTers who've ever commented on it (there's been significant discussion in the London forum, I think) dislike the Hoppa and prefer the free public buses, but I have no idea what public bus service is going to be like to T5. I would suggest you Priceline a 4* hotel at LHR and, if it looks like getting to T5 by mass transit from there is at all difficult, spend some fraction of what you've saved by using Priceline on a taxi.
