I used to get more annoyed with delays. I wouldn't actually take it out on staff, but I would go to the GA and ask questions line "oh, how late are we going to be now?" I know it was not their fault, so I didn't blame them, but I wanted them to know that I was annoyed. I no longer do that. I'm sure they know we're annoyed, and this does no good. That, and with delays being more common, I just accept them. I only worry about it where a connection is potentially jeopardized.
Cheers.
I'm totally with brp on this. Its part of the reality of air travel today. If we are talking hours late, I spring the $50 for a day pass at the AC as this beats the h..l that is often at the gate area. If no AC, I try to find a quite place in the airport and hunker down. If I have a connection and weather appears to be an issue ahead of time, I do my research to find altnerative routing, if needed.
As far as the end of spring break, I find Mr/Ms Important Business Traveler (or at least in their limited mind) just is bad, if not worse at times, than Ma and Pa Kettle when it comes to their behavior with delays. If you want to have the freedom of being a road warrior for your job, this part of the deal.
