NZ used to serve sparkling wine on the ground as a pre-departure drink on the trans-Tasman J service but then had the real stuff in the air... though I think that now they serve the same on ground or in air, often a choice of NZ or French but occasionally just the one or the other.
Thanks for the report, btw - that main course looks like a Y meal. QF catering looks like it's taken a bit of a tumble lately...
