On aa.com, select to view options using 'Price & Schedule' and ensure you include 'Restricted First' in the choice of class. You will see fares listed under the 'Instant Upgrade' column - these book into First Class for a small premium over economy.

Plenty of info on the AA forum for these types of fare.
