I am curious what the policy is on E+ (or equivalent) on Star Alliance partners for UA premiers, especially SAS and LH.

IAD-CPH is a frequent route for me but I am frustrated by the fact that I can't upgrade and the lack of E+ on SAS. I read somewhere that they will get rid of the 767s by the end of the year on this route. The new A-330's have an E+ section.

What about LH? Haven't flown them for nearly 2 years. They didn't have E+ at the time. A UA agent once told me that getting an upgrade on LH was difficult and need a week or two processing. Is this dated info or BS?
