Westin Regina is the FORMER name of the current Westin Cancun. In the pre-*wood days, at least two Westins in Mexico added "Regina" to the property name. (Not unlike the old Sheraton Taras in New England, I guess.)
So, we're talking about one and the same hotel.
Here's the deal with the balconies: there are none UNLESS you're in the RBC tower. The other 80% of the hotel has floor to ceiling windows with oceanfront or lagoon views, but the bulk of the rooms at this hotel do NOT have balconies. The RBC tower rooms all have balconies (I believe they all do; I know they practically all do).
Does that help?
Yes, thank you, that helps.
So, back to my other question as to quality? It looks like the hotel has been redone and the rooms look pretty nice. We will all be in the RBC Tower rooms. Given these facts, how is the hotel experience/quality relative to other premium options in Cancun?
