I wouldn't call the tube or the Heathrow Connect overpriced though, far from it compared to other cities around the world I think they are actually pretty good value. The Piccadilly line is fast and generally pretty reliable the Heathrow Connect is useful if your heading up to that part of London and not IMO overpriced.
I agree the HEX is expensive but you have plenty of other options to use, if you choose to take the premium product then you have to expect to pay a premium.
