Do you have the Marriott Premier card? If you don't, you should get it since it gives you 15 nights elite credit each year. That makes it easier to get to gold and platinum.
The credit requirements on this seem weird to me, as I keep getting rejected (not because of poor credit as I hold numerous big name credit cards and have been financed on multiple luxury vehicles)...
