Why? WW is due to pocket a good sized bonus if he can bring the financial results in according to some target, and the feeling was they were pretty much going to do that (pre-T5 fiasco that is).
If that is true, then it could be he's basically cooking the books by making people claim expenses occurred in one financial year, to be paid in the next year - so the results of the first year look better than they really should be...
That seems highly implausible - something that would be glaringly obvious to auditers, any corporate lawyer worth their salt (as they could be personally liable to prosecution for knowingly breaching tax laws) and hence open to whistle blowing.
