I need to go visit a friend in MRU on pretty short notice. Never been there, and just found out how long the flight is out of Europe, and not looking to doing it in coach (unless I could get exit rows), especially not both ways. I don't want to pay the $10K-$20K for a business class RT.

I have always wanted to do a RTW, figured out routings, but know almost nothing about booking and rules. I have heard that MRU is one of the cheaper places to buy a RTW from. I also go to TBS frequently, and could stand a trip to JER or GCI now or later. I want to take someone on a RTW with me someday as well.

Is this the time to start a US or Canada originating RTW? Or originate somewhere else after repositioning? Or start one here and another in MRU?

ANY ideas? I am all ears and really need to develop some strategy soon.
