I'm not gay, but have stayed because of their good rates at a business hotel in Tokyo near ni-chome called the City Hotel Lornstar. It was near most of the gay nightlife and from what I could see, it seemed pretty lively. There seemed to be a number of bars, restaurants, nightclubs. Perhaps a Google search might provide some guide(s) to the ni-chome area.
