In YYC it’s like they take the priority bags off the plane and leave them sitting there while every other bag, including oversized/fragile is unloaded and placed out for pickup.

As for removing the priority tags, since it is a Star Alliance system wide program I doubt AC will, and since it works at most airports I fly into most, especially YVR, FRA, NRT, MUC, OSL I would like to see them remain. I am fully capable of waiting the extra half hour for my bags in YYC when I am just going to drive home after. However I would like to see AC improve YYC luggage handling.
I found YVR worse than YYZ. I flew to YVR in Feb, with priority tags and we were probably there for about an hour with no reasonable explanation as to why it was taking so long.

On the way back, we flew back in a snow storm, land, and had to wait half an hour on the apron waiting for the crews to clear the gates (as if they weren't expecting us?) and then waited about 45-50 minutes at the carousel because they couldn't get the luggage compartments open because they were frozen shut. It sucked, but at least we knew why it was taking so long.

YWG is pretty quick, as is YSB and YXU.
