I don't understand how people can expect a express drop off in a airport? even if you were to just drop off a bag without an agent . the odds of other people doing the same at same time is great ..meaning u will ALWAYS have a line ! unless you flying at odd hours don't expect to have bags and walk straight to a drop off area and move on
I think if I understood OP correctly he was saying despite the fact the used the express machine they ended up in the line with everyone else who didn't use the machine, meaning the express baggage drop off counter didn't take them in.
His concern is legitimate cause had he known he would end up in the regular line why would he waste so much of his time to check himself in just to go back in the line with the herd?
The issue isn't that he didn't expect a line rater why the express baggage drop off didn't take them in and there were no signs to say he had to go to regular line anyways even if he checked himself in.
