No, I'm not saying that. We just don't encourage standby internationally when flights are really full. And then there is the matter of checked bags -- can't put them on if the passenger doesn't get on. The passenger has to retrieve the bag, start the process all over again, etc. Most people opt to pay the change fee to have the security of being confirmed on something.
