The bonus confirmation message still says 1000 points and the total points at the top of the page does initially show the addition of 1000 points after the profile update but when I logged out and logged back in, the total was only increased by 500 points. So it would appear that maximum update bonus per quarter is indeed only 1000 points, i.e. 500 points per update. I guess its no surprise but the programmers didn't quite finish the job. </font>
