Off on first 241 next week; did I read somewhere here that the trip interruption / delay etc cover that comes with the Amex card doesn't apply to redemption tickets, only revenue tickets? I've looked at the Amex T&C and it doesn't appear to be excluded - provided paying for taxes and fees etc means 'buying' the ticket.

Perhaps the experts can help??
If you have to cancel inside 24hrs pre-departure, then you'll lose the miles and voucher. I think BA offer their own insurance for this.
