I was on a F 241 to SYD in August 2007. The Wife's bag got lost in SIN, and arrived at our hotel 62 hours later. Amex paid up the £700 my wife spent getting clothes and essentails no problem. I even sent them my email eticket showing it was a redemption booking. The only drawback was that I did not realise we could have spent up to £1500, as the bags were delayed over 48 hours.

Still I was happy just to be paid out. It took 6 weeks to get the money, which was credited to my BA Amex. Hope this helps.
