So my bag left in the T1 FIRST lounge- on Monday. No record of it on calls to the lost luggage line during the week. On my way home tonight I arrived at T1 for a connection. I went to the T1 lounge pavilion- still open btw- but the Terraces was closed and the FIRST lounge was looking like a Terraces in terms of food and beverages. I spoke to a woman who remembered my bag- and said it had been sent to the excess baggage function at T1 arrivals. I went there- and was told they only handle checked bags- and was referred to the lost property window near the T2/3 HEX station. To my shocking surprise they had my bag- intact- even the ~80 euros that was stuffed in my shoe in the bag was still there! Happy to pay the 5 quid fee.

Seems it was safer to leave it in the lounge all week than try to check it through T5 today...
